A campaign is one message to the right slice of your customer list - a good-looking email wearing your logo and colour, or a straight-to-the-point SMS. You fill in the words; the layout takes care of looking right. Here's how to send one.
Write and send
- In your dashboard, open Growth and start a new campaign. Choose email or SMS - the choice is made at the start, and each campaign stays what it is. SMS campaigns have their own guide.
- Write your headline and message, and set the button to your booking page or any link you choose. Drafts save as you type.
- Pick your audience (see below).
- Send a test to yourself first, any time, even from a half-finished draft.
- Send now, or schedule a day and time.
Big sends pace themselves out over the day rather than firing all at once. That pacing protects your sending reputation with inbox providers, and you'll see honest progress as it goes.
Pick exactly who it's for
A new campaign starts with nobody selected, on purpose, so who hears from you is a real decision. Build your audience from any mix of:
- Smart segments, kept current from real behaviour: new customers, regulars, lapsed, top spenders.
- Your own groups, like a colour club or a bridal party.
- Hand-picked people - tick customers on the Customers page and start the campaign from there.
Mixing adds up: "lapsed plus top spenders" reaches anyone who is either, and nobody twice.
The honest count
Before you send, you'll see exactly what will happen: "this will reach 143 of the 210 selected", with the reason for every skip (unsubscribed, no email, not opted in, and so on). The report afterwards names names, so "I picked 300, why did 100 get it?" always has an answer.
The rules that keep you safe
Only opted-in customers are emailed, every campaign carries an unsubscribe link that's honoured instantly, and booking emails are a separate lane, so someone who unsubscribes from marketing still gets their own confirmations and reminders. See Texting, STOP and staying welcome.
Announcing a sale or a promo code? Create the offer first under Growth, then hit Announce on it - the campaign arrives pre-written, with the code as a fill-in field that's always typed right. See promo codes and running a sale.
FAQs
Will my emails land in spam?
The system is built to protect your reputation: only opted-in people are emailed, unsubscribes are instant, and big sends pace themselves. That pacing is what keeps your name clean with the inbox providers.
Can customers reply to me?
Yes. Each campaign can name its own reply-to address, so answers land with you or your front desk and a conversation can start.
What are merge fields?
They fill in each person's details, so "Hi {{first name}}" becomes "Hi Mia". The preview shows the real email, filled in, exactly as it will send.
